Neil Oliver lays it on the line

We've met Neil Oliver many times in these pages.  In his latest podcast video, he points out that "our leaders are no longer for us, they’re against us & they’re doubling down on every one of their failed policies".  He predicts that "Tyranny or revolution, it's coming - a storm is coming".

I highly recommend taking ten minutes out of your day to hear what he has to say.

The worst of it, to me, is that our leaders don't actually care that they're hurting their own people and their own nations so badly.  They're absolutely convinced of their own infallibility.  They're in thrall to an intellectual conception that has little or nothing to do with lived reality, and they're more than willing to sacrifice everything and everyone on that conceptual altar rather than back off and admit they may have it wrong.

One hopes that tyranny will be forestalled, even if that means revolution.  Either way, it's going to be an interesting ride.

Watchstanders not keeping watch.
Who are the watchstanders, it The People.

Evil is always on the prowl. Like water against the dam, it is a constant force.
Defense must be maintained lest we succumb.

Here we are.

Sir,
With great respect, those of us who look upon these mighty works and yet despair need to stop treating the situation as if it were born of incompetence. It is not, and has never been so.
I forget which, but one American president said, 'Nothing in politics happens by accident'. AC Clarke said 'Never ascribe to malice what can be adequately explained by stupidity'. Events subsequent to these public pronouncements have proven the first statement correct, and the second inverted.
People need to stop using stupidity as an explanation for actions that are purposeful, deliberate, and executed with malice aforethought. Those who style themselves as 'in power' want you dead, and if the threat of lining you all up against a wall isn't sufficient to encourage your compliance, they will settle for creating an increasingly unhealthy environment, reducing your material circumstances, and for whatever reason ensuring that health care is strangely unavailable.
It is by design. They are not stupid. They are not incompetent. They are not foolish. They know precisely what they are doing, why they are doing it, and the best means by which those efforts can continue.
None of this is new. It has certainly been developed over my lifetime, and I am soon to be 52. The question is, really, what shall we do about these things? How best to comport ourselves when dey come for you?
The truth shall set you free, but first it must be found.
