Making a 320-layer pattern-welded Damascus steel knife

Here's another fascinating video from John Neeman Tools, whose video tutorial on the making of a longbow we saw last Sunday.  Watch it in full-screen mode for best results.

I love watching old-school craftsmen at work.  There's something timeless in the way they go about it.

I also like watching Walter Sorrells' sword/knife making: https://www.youtube.com/user/slappybuckshot

Absolutely gorgeous knife and what a nice touch to be using it to make the sheath it is going into!

I'm pretty sure I don't want to know how much that thing sells for though.
It would break the spell and my heart.

Probably not anymore than a nice handgun would cost you. I've got a really nice one from Baltimore Knife & Sword, a gift from my brother.
