I found the picture below courtesy of a link at Dark Roasted Blend. It was taken by Tatyana Kildisheva, and shows the Strokkur geyser in Iceland, about a second before it erupts. The bubble of gas rising through the water, pushing it into a bulge on the surface, can be clearly seen.
In order not to steal Ms. Kildisheva's thunder, and in terms of the 'fair use' provisions of US copyright law, I've reduced the size of the image and cropped it slightly. The rest of the pictures are very inviting, especially as I sit here in South Louisiana in 95 degree heat, watching a tropical depression form in the Gulf.
Does Iceland need old electrical engineers?
