Basic truth, disdained

I was both happy and sad to read a tweet from actor Terry Crews yesterday, and the responses to it.

Mr. Crews, you got it in one.  You and I are brothers.

Sadly, it seems that many of Mr. Crews' race (he's black, in case you didn't know that) have a very different view.  Go to his tweet, and scroll down, and you'll read a sickening litany of bias, anger and hatred.  Here are just a few examples.

I'm sorry, Mr. Crews.  You deserved better than those responses.  Sadly, in the current state of our nation, there are far too many with similar opinions.  I guess it's up to those of us who take the Gospel seriously to demonstrate, in our own lives, that they're wrong.

There is no such thing as race. From an NPR report in 2010 - "RACE - The Power of an Illusion"
http://www.pbs.org/race/000_About/002_04-background-01.htm

Most variation is within, not between, "races." Of the small amount of total human variation, 85% exists within any local population, be they Italians, Kurds, Koreans or Cherokees. About 94% can be found within any continent. That means two random Koreans may be as genetically different as a Korean and an Italian.

That implies any physical appearance differences, like between the Koreans and Italians, is from populations being isolated and just breeding with each other. It's a difference in which neighborhood the ancestors grew up in.

The word "Race" doesn't even appear in the English language until a poem in 1508, and that was about a line of kings. Now you can't go 10 minutes without being clubbed over the head about race.

Scripture says we're all descended from two people. Genetically, the evidence agrees with that.

To further SiGraybeard's point --

I recently saw a video of 2 Irish "dopplegangers" (who looked so nearly identical I'd have bought it if they said they were twins) who took DNA test to see how closely related they were.

It turned out that they were from completely different haplogroups, indicating they had no common ancestor within 10-15,000 years. Despite both being Irish and looking so very nearly identical.

Being Brothers and Sisters in Christ does not make people literal family.
Nor does it eliminate the different and separate Nations, created by God.

@McChuck: I recommend that you consult your Bible, particularly:

Matthew 23:8-9: https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Matthew+23%3A8-9&version=NIV

Galatians 3:28: https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Galatians+3%3A28&version=NIV

It doesn't eliminate "the different and separate Nations" - it makes them irrelevant in Christ.

Diversity only works in religious groups. A true believer in any sect will accept/tolerate another true believer in spite of visible differences. It's the 'Brotherhood of Belief' that promotes diverse individuals. It can be any religious group... Or any group that fills the spiritual void. (Socialism and Antifa come to mind)
Without a shared belief structure, the tolerance is short lived.

It only takes one side to fight a war, and Whites in this country better wake up soon. Marxist whites and commie minorities are in the field.

Sadly, he's way late. It is a "Better" thing. It went that way years ago.

Really what he said was "All lives matter", a dog whistle for these morons.

And, I don't use twitter, but if someone replied "Delete this and apologize" I'd go nuts.

We live in a world of adolescent busybodies and tattletales.
