I'm sure most of my readers are aware of the protests planned in Washington D.C. tomorrow against certification of the fraudulent election results last November. Once the certification process is complete, there will be no other constitutional means to object to the result, and Joe Biden will be sworn in (no matter how illegitimately) as our next President.
I'm not joking or exaggerating when I say that this may be freedom's last gasp in these United States. If the blatant electoral fraud we saw in November is allowed to triumph, those behind it will make sure that we never have another free and fair election. We will forever be at the whim of those who rule by diktat, who impose their wills upon us and disregard completely our feelings about them.
I can't be there tomorrow in the flesh, but I certainly will be in spirit. I hope that many of my readers will be present at the protest, to show that we, the people, do not consent to having our democratic will overturned and ignored. I'd love to see more than a million people in Washington on Wednesday. That would send a message to the fraudsters that even they, in their ideological blindness, can't ignore. Will we see that? Who knows? We'll find out tomorrow.
Edmund Burke said, almost three centuries ago:
All that is necessary for evil to succeed is that good men do nothing.
If the evil that we've seen in our recent elections is allowed to succeed, it will be because not enough good people sought to stop it. The evildoers will take that as a sign that the rule of law is effectively dead. They will believe they need not worry about good people any further, and will throw off all future restraint . . . unless we impose restraint upon them. May God forbid it should come to that, yet again, in these United States; but if it does, it won't be the first time.
Tomorrow, in adherence to Lord Acton's dictum, good men and women are going to do something in Washington D.C. in a final peaceful, lawful attempt to prevent electoral evil from succeeding. Pray God it may be enough.

Lord Acton's other quote is appropriate here: "The one pervading evil of democracy is the tyranny of the majority, or rather of that party, not always the majority, that succeeds, by force or fraud, in carrying elections. "
I thought the quote about the success of evil and the inactivity of good was from Edmund Burke. Did they both say it, at some point?

Acton, Burke. Perceptive men, w/o rosy-tinted glasses. Could Voltaire and Calvin both be right about the nature of Man? That would be ironic indeed.
I confused Acton's "Power tends to corrupt, and absolute power corrupts absolutely." With Burke's quote above all the time.
It wont change anything. Once the Governors certify, its basically over, if Federalism is in force. Fox is announcing Warnock won, other race still too tight to call....
