Residents of Chicago, Portland, Seattle, and other cities where the mob has become accustomed to stealing what they like, when they like, and getting away with it, are now discovering the consequences of allowing that to happen. What store can afford to stay in business when every day that it does so costs it more money than it makes? (Not to mention the consequences to its staff, who are imperiled by criminal thugs and looters!)
The trouble is, those who've grown used to taking what they want aren't going to mend their ways when their local stores shut down. No - they're going to spread their net wider, and try to do the same in more distant suburbs and neighboring towns. I don't foresee much of a problem with that in my area: our cops (and the vast majority of our citizens) will have no trouble stopping such miscreants in their tracks (if necessary, the hard way). However, in many larger cities it's going to be a problem. Public transport is more or less available, cars can be stolen or hijacked at gunpoint for a quick ride, and fresh loot isn't far away; and police are so overloaded (not to mention underfunded) that they can't deal with the crimes they've got right now, never mind increased shoplifting and looting in future.
As I've said so often before (most recently yesterday), get out of Big Blue Cities now. If you stay, you're laying yourself wide open to the consequences of such attitudes and actions.

Personally I think that We The People should begin with the Abusive Public Servants and the Political Royalty they serve.
Because they are the ones who Fund, Encourage and defend those who Burn, Loot and Murder.

Peter did you forget how Gov.com sponsored terrorism (Antifa and Burn Loot Murder) in Africa and now the USA can greatly extend the range (bussing then into target areas) of such actions.

Because of Lawfare and being sued into poverty by "Civil Rights" violations I suspect our Current batch of Bolsheviks running DC will spread chaos well beyond the Blue Cities.
There are tactics to shrink the "Green Zone" of terrorists, but the open internet isn't our playground. Historical lessons need to be researched.

I worked my way through college in the mid 70s in south central Los Angeles (Black Slums) on a multiracial crew for the phone company. The area was dangerous and we got hazard pay. Daily there were shootings and the area had not recovered from the riots of 10 years before. There were only small businesses and some fast food.
I was in a fast food eating lunch when a gang saw another gang member walking near the fast food and bus stop and open fire killing the gang member and 4 others and shooting up the fast food. I had the window blown out by me and just missed getting shot and others got shot. There were areas the police would not go and we would only go during certain times. We were often attacked while up on poles and my Black supervisor got shot. After I graduated the person that replaced me thought the area was nice, but I could not understand it he told me he was from Gary, IN and they lost about 9 people per year to death as they killed while on poles.
This is what is happening in the Dem run cities now after they had cleaned up. They will dissolve further become what Detroit is now. No tax base, no police, no business, and less and less people. Wastelands of crime.

That's why things haven't gone full Committees of Vigilance and Balkanized and pear-shaped and sideways and burning bridges and the whole friggin mess.
And on this, the anniversary of the opening of active warfare of the American Revolution. Which, as bad as it was, was a war of gentlemen and manners.
Factional warfare today is the warfare of trenches and burned cities and the return of plagues and diseases, of mass starvation and malnutrition.
Just ask yourselves, do you have your Diptheria, Cholera, Tuberculosis, Polio, various Poxes, Tetanus shots updated? Because that's what's going to happen to a vast majority of the population, a vast majority of the land. The return of the old killers. The sounds of children hacking up their lungs, the mass graves, the slow deaths from blood poisoning. And that's in the good areas.
And that's not even counting the various killer viruses like Hanta and the Plague, which are here in the US and actually do kill people regularly. But because they're only found in really poor and really medically underserved populations (mostly Native American reservations) the general public never hears about outbreaks.
As bad as things are now, I don't want to eat rat and squirrel, if I can find them. I hope and pray every day that things will somehow get better. Because I know, within the first 30 days of things going sideways, I'll be dead, my wife will be dead, my mother will be dead, a good portion of people I know will be dead. Because that's what we're facing. Mass death from direct or indirect means.
So, please, like the 2nd Coming of Our Lord, please quit wishing that open violence from MAGAites and consrrvatives begins now.

Beans is absolutely correct, I always surmised that if you can survive 90 days after things go "kinetic", that is when the things go sideways in a hurry because the first 90 days will be the big "bleedoff", then things will settle down and an equilibrium will be established. That is my belief. Do I want things to go Kosovo 2.0 Hell no, that is the absolutely last thing I want. I want things to go better, I don't want another "dark ages" to descend on us like what happened to Europe after the fall of the Roman Empire, the loss of knowledge, we had 1000 years of nothing until the renaissance hit, 1000 years of stagnation and nothing.
