Well armed???

This news report boggled my mind.

The court documents say that on Sunday, [Brandon James] Bentley was found at the intersection of Sullivan Street and North Benbow Road, on NC A&T campus, with a revolver, loaded handgun, a rifle, two shotguns and several hundred rounds of ammunition. He was also found to have a “makeshift firework explosive,” brass knuckles, a machete, a sword, a “blowdart weapon,” a crossbow, a hatchet, a stun gun, a dozen knives, “claws,” and a baton.

. . .

Also among the items taken from Bentley were bolts for the crossbow, two “choking devices,” a window breaker, a chicken foot, pepper spray and “holy water.”

There's more at the link.

I've heard of being "well armed", but that's ridiculous!  And what, precisely, did the chicken foot and the holy water have to do with things?  Spiritual warfare, perhaps?  Or was the pepper spray intended to season the chicken foot prior to consumption?

The toxicology report will be released after results...

'several hundred rounds' - guessing rimfire. Two boxes (100 rounds) will fit in the palm of your hand.

Definitely sounds like this individual was on some madcap adventure. I'm glad he was taken into custody before anyone got hurt.

I am SO disappointed. Until I read the part that he was driving I had great hopes of learning of a new ruck that would hold all that in ready.

'found at the intersection' and had a chicken foot. Is this a chicken crossing the road joke?

Or, more likely, he got there and collapsed from exhaustion under that load of stuff.

I'd like to think he was probably moving all his stuff from his old place to his new one and got pulled over for a traffic stop.

Then the cop got curious and asked to search his car.

Sounds like a man ready for most eventualities, even if most of them are in his mind.

Steffen, that makes a lot of sense.

Just out of curiousity, "a revolver, loaded handgun"? Is that a list and the "journalist" left off the indefinite article on one item? Or an explanatory clause, that a revolver is a loaded handgun? And if a list, what is the difference between a revolver and a loaded handgun?

I was with him up until the 'claws'. Nobody needs those.

Holy water works for vaampires also, right? In addition to the possessed, I mean.

Would it work on zombies?

Carry fewer firearms (making sure they are in good working order ) and more ammo.

And also don't be batshit crazy in public.

Vampire Hunter. You need a crossbow to slam a piece of wood in the heart at a distance. Pray it doesn't go thru the monster
