Yet another Big Blue City crime warning

It looks like feral youths are increasingly out of control in many left-wing-dominated (i.e. "blue") large cities and towns.  Just in the past week, we've seen these reports:

‘Teen Takeover’ terrorizes Chicago as hundreds of teenagers destroy property, attack tourists

Some teens in the group began jumping up and down on cars, smashing windows and attacking people inside. One woman told Fox 32 her husband was attacked from the driver side of his vehicle and beaten after a group of teens jumped up and down on the couple's windshield. The man was taken to a local hospital for treatment.

Hundreds of police officers assisted by SWAT teams descended on downtown in an attempt to restore order as gunfire was reported multiple times amid the unfolding scene.

Police were seen escorting frightened tourists back to their cars or hotels to escape the chaos, and traffic on Chicago's Michigan Avenue ground to a halt as police attempted to restore order.

Huge mob ransacks California gas station; police 'outnumbered': video

A video recorded a mob of California youth breaking into a gas station convenience store and then stealing what police say were thousands of dollars of products.

The incident happened early Sunday morning in Compton, California, after a large group of people blocked an intersection as part of a street takeover, with video footage showing cars drifting in circles and screeching around 2:30 a.m., according to KLTA.

. . .

Deputies at the Compton station were responding to incidents throughout the night, but police said that since they are "currently limited with their staffed personnel," they "couldn't intervene with the giant takeover groups for safety concerns" and being "outnumbered," according to ABC7.

‘We cannot protect our public’: Riverside County District Attorney

Pointing to a rise in crime, officials said offenders are released from jail too frequently. In the city of Riverside alone, police said commercial burglaries are up 31% compared to this time last year.

“All of us up here on stage have had enough,” Riverside County District Attorney Mike Hestrin said at the press conference. “We cannot protect our public. We’re getting no help from Sacramento.”

Tulare County District Attorney Tim Ward used the example of 31-year-old Timothy Bethell of Winchester, who has 39 felony convictions ranging from burglary to vandalism. Ward said the 31-year-old began terrorizing businesses in 2021. Bethell pleaded no contest to 14 felony charges and was sentenced to four years suspended state prison time, but that’s not what happened.

“He was convicted, as I said, in Tulare County and was released, as is so common, to a residential treatment program at which he immediately absconded from,” Ward said. “Within days, he is captured in Tulare County breaking into yet another business and he’s convicted of that additional felony count as well.”

Officials said Bethell was eventually transferred back where he continued his siege on businesses in the southwestern portion of Riverside County, which resulted in thousands of dollars in losses and damages.

I could have selected many more such reports, including this Twitter account of hundreds of riders of illegal ATV's and dirt bikes defying the law by riding through Philadelphia in broad daylight - and not a cop in sight.  Such problems are not found in just a few cities or states - they're nationwide.

If the rule of law breaks down - as seems to be happening in such cities - then we have no protection under the law.  We're left to our own devices.  If we defend ourselves against the lawless, it's increasingly obvious that progressive left-wing forces - the same forces that are trying to (and often succeeding in) "defund the police" efforts will turn their attention to us, and try to haul us in front of the court for doing what the forces of law and order cannot and will not do.  They want us to be terrorized by criminals, cowering in our homes.  Why?  I can only guess . . . but it's pretty clear that when law and order is destroyed, those most willing to be violent will rule the streets, and the cities.  Draw your own conclusions.

If you still live in a large city with such problems (and that includes most US cities today), you need to very, very seriously reconsider your options.  Sure, there may be good reasons for you to stay there . . . but what's your life worth?  What are the lives of your family and loved ones worth?  If your teenaged daughter is raped, or your son brutalized, what will the rest of their lives be like after such an experience?

The authorities either cannot or will not do anything effective to stop this.  In many cases, they can't.  The police have been defunded to the point where in many places, they no longer respond to "minor" crimes at all;  and when confronted by mob violence and disobedience, as in the examples cited above, they're basically helpless.  They cannot and will not protect you.

Get out of big blue cities while you still can.  If you don't . . . you'll have to live with the consequences.

Peter

I stopped calling the police about 1996 after calling them to break up a riot on my street (all drunk kids) and after 1 1/2 hours they called me back and said they couldn't find my address but they would keep trying. Seriously? I have no use for them anymore.

I worked in areas like these in the 70s as I worked my way through college. The businesses had mostly left. They will do it again and leave these areas wastelands for people to buy gasoline, food, and other things. At a certain point stealing and selling does not work in an area.

If the police, the prosecutors, and the Judges will not put the criminals in jail the society will breakdown. Two things will happen 1)people will leave, 2)vigilantes will act against the criminals and the corrupt politicians, Judges, prosecutors, and police left. The area will rebuild after the destruction is complete and the politicians and criminals are gone.

I have no idea just where it is, but there is a tipping point coming, and once it's reached Things Will Be Different.

Very, very different.

And damn few people will like any of it at all, but they will not be offered a choice.

I'll tell you why tptb want the people cowering; it is because the terror and destruction by roving mobs is the first part of the Hegelian dialectic.

We can soon expect the forming of a national civilian army. And the people will say with a deep sigh of relief, Oh thank you!

I expect the people's national civilian corp to form up following after the installation of el presidente in January 2025.

(What's neat about that is, in a show of force and discipline, they will form into ranks. If you get your angle just right ... well, you know what I mean.)

A while back I started carrying a 'throwdown" wallet containing just enough small bills with the edges visible to provide some interest if I have to toss it in the general direction of An Urban Miscreant.

One thing I'm doing with it is adding just enough cash to cover an average restaurant bill; if a couple to a few young blacks enter the restaurant carrying the proverbial Large Black Chip upon their shoulders I will put enough cash under the salt shaker to cover (at least most) of the bill and leave pronto whether my food has arived or not.

Despite picking a "safe neighborhood" in which to eat there are absolutely no guarantees that "safe when I walked in" will not become "not safe to stay in now."

The bike thing in Philly has become an modern urban tradition. I lived downtown for a few months in 2021. You'd be surprised how long those people can hold a wheelie. Never saw them get pulled over.

Don't forget the report that 30% of the shoplifting arrests in NYC were done by around 350 people. Do you know how flagrant and excessive you have to be to get arrested for shoplifting in NYC?

All this reminds me of what Hitler and his group did before justifying nationalizing all police forces in Germany.

I'm not going to point out the melanin-ratio of most of the offenders. Because that's racist.

But it's true.

Get ready to follow the 3 "S" rules.

Shoot, Shovel, Shut up.

Police are not there to protect you, they are there to mop up the mess. Most are only interested in making enough arrest's to keep their job, doesn't matter if it's you or a perp.

Spicy times are upon us.Stay strapped or get clapped.

Compton is South Central L.A., being merely the next ghetto 'hood over from Watts.

"I'll take 'Reasons Why There Are Food and Retail "Deserts" In Major Cities' for $500, Alex."

If the plan is to try the S'African model, except in a country where The Diversity is only 13% of the population, they're going to find out what happens when they become 5% of the population in a big hurry.

Hey Peter;

Funny that, the powers that be will NOT reign in the "Yoots" but will absolutely jump on you with both feet if you defend yourself shows me that this is a feature, not a bug. The "yoots" are used to drum fear to have a population cower in fear and look at them for salvation especially since they are disarmed because the population are disarmed. So it is a power grab using the "yoots".
Vigilantism will be a thing once "law and Order" fails, people will start to handle business amongst themselves rather than take the chance with the Russian Roulette of the judicial system. I live in a blue county in a red state and want to move and we will in 3 years when this house is paid off with accelerated payments. My county went blue in 2014 due to the instability of the county next door that was blue and everyone moved into my county. but I am concerned about debt of a new house because of the cost of a house will exceed the equity of sale of this one.

Heard a report on Dan Bongino today, there's still an operating "chad" in Minneapolis, a "no-go" zone for cops or EMTs except to bring out the dead/wounded.....

Compton is policed by the Los Angeles County Sheriff, as their own city police force was dismantled a decade or two ago.
