The doofus in this case, in France, isn't the woman passenger - it's the dumbass dealer who sold her the "souvenir"!
A British woman sparked the evacuation of an entire airport in France when she tried to board a plane with a bomb in her hand luggage.
The 55-year-old was boarding a Ryanair jet at Bergerac, in the Dordogne, when security guards spotted the World War Two shell while scanning her suitcase.
The woman, who was flying home to Nottingham, said she had bought the 37mm military explosive in a second-hand shop as a present for her husband.
Bomb squad officers raced to the airport and took the shell, originally used in army field guns, to nearby wasteland.
More than 1,000 passengers and staff at the airport were also herded from the terminal building while the device was being removed.
After conducting a controlled explosion, officers said the shell had contained very little of its original explosive.
A French police spokesman said the woman, who has not been named, was questioned at the scene.
He added: "She told us she had no idea that taking a military shell through airport security would cause such a fuss.
"She said she bought the device in a second-hand shop because her husband collected military memorabilia.
"Checks were made with the tradesman she bought it from and her story proved to be genuine, so charges will not be brought and she was allowed to leave."
Must have been a real fox-in-the-henhouse scene at the airport!
