Those of you who've traveled in desert regions of the world will be used to sandstorms, those walls of wind-driven sand that can totally shut down a region for days.
It seems Australia has its own version of them, which isn't surprising, considering that much of the interior of that continent is desert. The video clip below was taken from a vehicle driving towards, then into, such a storm.

Looks about right. Thankfully only a very few times in Iraq I had to pull my dismounted security element in from their positions to the bumper of the hummer - and I could then only barely see them!

As a tech, I have to wonder about what that does to the vehicle.....

I'm just amazed they kept driving. I would have turned around.
