The idle musings of a former military man, former computer geek, medically retired pastor and now full-time writer. Contents guaranteed to offend the politically correct and anal-retentive from time to time. My approach to life is that it should be taken with a large helping of laughter, and sufficient firepower to keep it tamed!
That's nothin'. I watched a guy on my team stiff-arm the pole as he planted it one time. The pole snapped and the end hit him in the mouth, snapped off his four upper incisors.
I've tried pole-vaulting; most unnatural act known to man, IMO. I was fine when the bar was low enough that I didn't have to try and invert my body, but after that I just couldn't do it.

That hurt me just watching it.
I wrestled with two guys that decide to be pole vaulters in high school.
Watching them practice was better than the Three Stooges shorts.

Yeah, that hurt to watch.
I got hit by a pickup truck one day while riding my bicycle (pretty much New Year's Eve, Y2K). Broke my tailbone (among other things).
The broken tailbone was up with the most painful things I've ever had. Took almost a year to stop hurting. Looks like what happened to this guy.
Oh... that made MY butt hurt... Agree with GB, bet he broke the tailbone with that landing...
