Experts - or insane?
The two wingsuit parachutists in this video clip are either the best in the world at their craft, to be able to judge the risks so finely, or they're certifiably bugnuts insane! Judge for yourselves.
Best in the world at being certifiably bugnuts insane?
Dare I admit it, but my heart rate jumped up a few beats and I got the slightest tinge from the old adrenal gland when those guys went screaming by the group on the cliff. Then I smiled a bit...
I think it's the draw of that risky behavior. We all have a need, some more than others, but we have it. Look how many people have died fox-hunting, which seems tame compared to this. And then, some of us just step off a curb in NY City, and look what could happen to you! :) There is a parachute club near me and hundreds of people have jumped safely, except those two who got tangled up in the power wires over the freeway ....oops.
So can anyone be able to tell how fast they were going when they passed the camera? I figure at least 5 kmh, so if they had got hit by a down draft that would have make an excellent video. Heltau

Insane, and they'll kill themselves sooner rather than later...
