John Lott, the well-known researcher whose book 'More Guns, Less Crime' revolutionized perspectives on the value of firearms as a crime prevention tool, is trying to get a new foundation, the Crime Prevention Research Center (CPRC), off the ground. Let him explain what's going on.
I think this is a cause worthy of the support of all those who value their Second Amendment rights and civil liberties. I'm pledging $50 towards the establishment of the CPRC, and I'd like to challenge all of my readers who own a firearm to commit at least $20 towards the cause. That's the price of a standard box of non-premium rifle or handgun ammunition these days, so I think it's not an unreasonable target. You can learn more and make a donation at the foundation's IndieGoGo page.
Thanks in advance.
