Still one of the most beautiful - and deadly - aircraft in history
Here's a great video news report about the restoration of a Supermarine Seafire Mk. XV - the carrier-borne version of the Spitfire fighter. I suggest watching it in full-screen mode.

I'd be proud to own one. Come on, lottery!
Murphy's law, we can go halves if I win the lotto. I've got high-performance and tailwheel ratings, and CFI-single engine. What more do we need?

Beautiful sound... And a beautiful job! Kudos to them all!
Nothing like the Merlin sound.
I dreamed about a Spitfire once, for no reason I could discern.
A great plane. A beautiful plane too.
Sadly, not a Merlin if the restoration is faithful. The later marks of Spitfires and Seafires used the larger and more powerful Rolls-Royce Griffon.
