This is true, especially today!!!
We've been married since 1968, so my dating experiences are ancient, but I'm pretty sure if my dating time were in the present I'd probably be forever single. Besides, I'm not sure I could pull off the this-is-me facade while dating. Or do they just let it all hang out in a storm of honesty and what-you-see-is-really-what-you-get these days?
So is marrying the wrong person.
My god am I glad not to have to deal with that insanity these days.
Been married almost 40 years. Can't imagine what it must be like to
try and find a suitable sane competent partner these days.
It's good to be a lifelong celibate.
