Cheesy!

This "Foxes In Love" cartoon made me laugh out loud.  Click the image to be taken to a larger view at the comic's Web page.

My wife and I are both cheese-lovers, and enjoy finding and sampling new varieties when we get the chance (not always easy in northern Texas, but when we visit other cities, we look for opportunities).  However, neither of us enjoy the stinkier varieties of cheese.  That may make us gastronomic Philistines, but I've never been able to enjoy chewing and swallowing something while holding my nose!

I enjoy "Foxes In Love".  It's on my daily cartoon list.

If you're forced to visit the commie hellhole that is Austin, a visit to Antonelli's Cheese Shop will make it worthwhile.

I love cheeses; in fact I came home with three today. However, in life as a general rule I assume stink is a warning sign, as in cheese or any and everything thing else.

I was returning to Houston from overseas, when I (and the people around me) noticed a distinctly unpleasant odor.
Turns out the source of this "aroma" was the cheeses I had bought.
When I bought them, they had been refrigerated, but they warmed up during the 9 or so hour flight.
I must admit it tasted delicious, but then again, my cheese philosophy is "The smellier, the better".

Uncle came home from 2nd shift and Aunt would leave something out for him to munch on. Cold boiled potatoes with butter and Limburger cheese. His favorite cheese. Stunk to high heaven.

My office holds "Cheese Wenesday" each Wednesday in December, where volunteers bring various cheeses, cold cuts, olives, dates, crackers, nuts, etc. as a warmup to Christmas. We always have good participation and a splendid spread. Except... Some jerk (moi) occasionally brings Limburger for everyone to "enjoy". I don't regret it one bit. In fact, my only regret is that I can't find Stinking Bishop here in the States. I love cheese, including "stinky" cheeses, but that one, I just can't eat.

Maybe next December I can bring sardines or pickled herring... >:o)

My granny always kept stink cheese (Limburger, I think?) For when the neighbor would visit. He enjoyed it.

Oh no. Not cheese. Sorry, it brings me out in a rash. Can't stand the stuff.
*gulp* No even Wensleydale? What's the matter with Wensleydale?

If you ever make it down this far, I can recommend Houston Dairy Maids.

Not cheap, but I've liked everything I've tried.

The foxes are gay. Very sneaky way of slipping that into an appeal of otherwise thinking conservatives.
