Mike S. e-mailed me a link to Ian's Shoelace Site. It's a magnificently eclectic look at the common shoelace, its care, feeding and use. I'd never have believed that the humble shoelace could have so many variations, implications and permutations!
It's worth a look, if you'd like to waste a little time on what (having read it) I now realize is a much-neglected area of personal dress.
