The idle musings of a former military man, former computer geek, medically retired pastor and now full-time writer. It is hard to imagine a more stupid or more dangerous way of making decisions than by putting those decisions in the hands of people who pay no price for being wrong. -- Thomas Sowell
And you can bet your arse they have better insurance and
access to testing and those suddenly rare drugs.
I was think of what word best applies, I say: hypocrites.
Eck!
Government - at all levels - has become, increasingly, more and more insulated from "Real America." It's way too big, way too expensive, and way too intrusive; government needs to be shrunk drastically, and restructured to build in accountability and responsibility.

All we like sheep are being unprotestingly herded
It is training us
Our founding fathers did everything in their power to create a government that was relatively weak and in all respects subservient to the will of the people.
Since our nation's birth a certain type of person has chipped away at that structure, changed, rewritten, or reinterpreted everything put in place so as to give themselves more power over the citizenry. It's what those who use government as an avenue to their own power do.
Have not heard this said by anyone, but what has actually happened is that the powers that be have used this virus to place the entire country under martial law and used that status as justification for their violation of several of our constitutional rights "for the duration." Drunk on that new found power why on earth would they ever be willing to give it back?
I guarantee there are some in authority who are desperately trying to figure out how to extend the current state of affairs for as long as possible, to the degree that they would make it permanent were a means found for them to do so. For our own good of course.
The stock market is down. If I was gonna invest, it would be in pitchfork and torch makers. And industrial metals. Like brass and lead.
Yup.

So open question for my loyal readers (all three of you! 😁)… how do we impose a feedback loop that makes the politicians have a personal price that they need to factor into the equation? No, not an electoral price – that’s a given, or should be, and is months if not years away. A price now. Perhaps reduce their pay in proportion to the economy of their city or state’s decrease in economic output as compared with, say, Q42019? And if you like this idea, how can this be accomplished?
