Truer words have never been spoken, particularly given the news that "the Defense Department was aware of the identity of the suicide bomber who struck outside the Kabul Airport in Afghanistan last week, and in fact had a lock on him but were denied permission to take him out".
If true, those responsible for that denial are also responsible for the deaths of those 13 Marines. Let them explain themselves to the families who lost loved ones.
May our honored dead rest in peace. Their leaders may have regarded them as expendable, but we do not.
They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them.
