Some very funny ones posted here - Thank you. the greasy mechanic hands rule is real. Installed a 'piggy back' charger cable this Saturday on Harley motorcycle battery. Left hand supporting battery while right had ignition pliers tightening battery post nut - and my eyes are watering because my nose itches something awful. Tried to scratch it against the fuel tank but could not do it.

Thanks again - nice being able to comment anonymoously again.

I guess that meme about stoves means my green folding Coleman camp stove is a concealed carry stove.

I have a new stove coming tomorrow. I think I'll print that one out for the guys.

Peter, did your abscess clear up? If not, did your doctor consider maggot therapy? It seems to have at least as good a track record as antibiotics, with no side effects except itching.

I read about a Vietnam POW that did that to himself. Nasty gash on the arm during ejection started to go bad. He quit shooing flies away. After they cleaned it up he urinated on the wound to wash them off. And that probably saved his life.

Workable solution.

Maggots will stop once they do the dying flesh. Not sure what the pee did but it might help.

Still, we are not quite to the stage we need bush medicine but we are close.

Sterile maggots are still used in wound healing and therapy, last I checked. It is possible to breed your own; the favored species is the green bottle-fly, IIRC
