What happens when you can't get out of the way?

This video clip shows an accident in Moghbazar Rail Gate, Dhaka, Bangladesh. Traffic is blocked from moving off the railway lines; the gates go down; then . . .

I guess when traffic's that heavy, a level crossing just won't do any more. Time to put in a bridge, perhaps, or a tunnel?

No need for a bridge or tunnel. Just let Darwin's natural selection take its course.

A tunnel? In Banglidesh? Surely you jest! I doubt the entire country is more than 12" above sea level.

Don't they know trains have right of way?

Well, that one left a mark, and I'll bet the survivors DON'T do that again...

Did you notice not a single person was running to help???

Those signs at red lights, "Don't block intersection"? Yeah, goes double for railroad crossings.

It may just be poor audio quality but I did not hear any sound of air breaks. The train just brushed them aside and kept on going.

Heck, at observation the 'cattle catcher' in the front of the locomotive appears to be designed to handle just a situation.

And, of course, in the last frame you can see some idiots riding on the top of the passenger car.

No sympathy at all from me. If they are that stupid, the world is better off without them!
PS: By "they" I mean people stupid enough to block Railroad tracks. Race, religion, sex and nationality have NOTHING to do with it!
