An interesting artist

I recently came across the art of Gregory Euclide through an article in the Daily Mail.  He lives in Minnesota, where he teaches as well as creates artworks.  I was particularly interested in his 'temporary art' that he creates on whiteboards over lunch, then wipes clean.

It's very Oriental in perspective, where the act of creation is as much of a work of art as the artwork itself.  Even if the latter is destroyed, the creative process remains.

Mr. Euclide's now published a collection of ten of these 'temporary artworks'.  You can see them in the Daily Mail article and as a set on his Flickr photostream, from where I've drawn the two small samples shown above.  I highly recommend clicking on each thumbnail image at the link, then clicking it again to display all sizes, and viewing it in the largest that your monitor can accommodate.

He has other works of art on his general Flickr photostream, and more information on his Web site.  Both are recommended viewing.
