Ballistic gelatin is a special gelatin compound that simulates muscle tissue. It's used to test the performance of defensive and hunting bullets.

Oh, the beauty of terminal ballistics! I agree, Wayne, the twist is gorgeous. Did you notice the perfect "mushroom" expansion? From what I can tell, it's some sort of spitzer rifle bullet, with no obvious cavity for expansion. Barnes is known for that sort of hunting round.
