So much for winter sports . . .

This video clip is specially for my friend D. in Alaska. She was complaining about being tired of winter, particularly the very long, cold winters they have up there.

D., I hope this cheers you up. It certainly made me laugh out loud!

Schadenfreude:

From Avenue Q, the hilarious traveling broadway show that explains the hard lessons of life in a Sesame Street meets South park manner.

GARY AND NICKY:
Schadenfreude!

GARY COLEMAN:
People taking pleasure in your pain!

NICKY:
Oh, Schadenfreude, huh?
What's that, some kinda Nazi word?

GARY COLEMAN:
Yup! It's German for "happiness at the misfortune of others!"

NICKY:
"Happiness at the misfortune of others." That is German!

Thought you'd appreciate the humor. :D

I look at that and all I can think is "Ow! Ouch! Ooooh! Yeah, and that one perfectly illustrates why my physical therapist would strangle me if I tried to take up downhill skiing."

Literally, she said "You can ski, absolutely, as long as you promise me that you'll never fall down!"
