I used to think I could handle dirt roads . . .
. . . until I watched this. A tip o' the hat to Maureen S. for the link. View it in full-screen mode for maximum impact.
Remind me never, ever to hitch a ride with that guy!
The list of people who worked on this project is very long, which makes this a very expensive enterprise. Looks like the credits for a regular movie production.
This driver's spirited power slides reminded me of teaching a girlfriend how to drive. Drove my '66 Ranchero w/302ci V8 and 4spd out near the Pine Barrens, (So NJ) where the roads were dirt/gravel. After she drove around for a while, I showed her how to slide it. So, she played a bit in first gear, stayed in second for a while, and then whoa Nellie! she went for third! She had a smile from ear to ear, and I'm thinking uh oh, I've seen that look before. She had a good touch, very smooth control. We spent all day with her behind the wheel, and sometimes the tires were actually tracking in line with each other...
Took her and my same age sister To the Wildwood beach to ride my Hodaka enduro bike. Both of them had the same question after buzzing around for a while: Does it have any more gears? I want to go faster!
This past weekend convinced me that I'm getting too old to walk the hills where I go deer hunting. That looks like just the ticket for getting to and from my stand. I suppose they might have something better suited to hauling deer out of the woods though.
