Is it swimming, or flying?

Back in 2008 I wrote about a fish-shaped airship that 'swam' through the air. A few days later, I added a report about a German group, Festo, that was producing various odd-shaped flying vehicles also resembling fish of various sorts.

It seems Festo hasn't been resting on its laurels. Here's a video from last year about its 'AirPenguin'.

Amazing to see how hydrodynamics (also known as fluid dynamics) and aerodynamics are related, isn't it? 'Creatures' like the AirPenguin make the relationship very clear.

Actually they are BOTH fluid dynamics, just one is a little thicker than the other :-)
