I'd never heard of Indian pole gymnastics, or Mallakhamb, until I came across a video of it during an unrelated Internet search. It's pretty amazing stuff, if all one's used to is the Western-style gymnastics seen at the Olympics and other international competitions.
I somehow think a Western-style gymnast would really struggle to master the Indian variety! On the other hand, it might be very entertaining to see them try . . .
