A day without cats? Fuggetabahdit!
The Web site Urlesque called for 9th September to be a 'day without cats' on the Internet. Time magazine picked up the story, and a fairly large number of Web sites decided they'd join in and support the effort.
What do I think about it?

Ahh, yes . . . Cats. Furry things to remind us that, no matter how much we like to pretend, we're not lords and masters of all we survey!

Nope, we're not.
You would have heard of course, that "Dogs have owners, cats have staff"
:)
Cat: A small, furry automaton whose function it is to be kicked when things go wrong.
Ambrose Bierce
I posted a pic (http://crucis-court.blogspot.com/2009/09/amber.html) of one of our cats, Amber. She somehow managed to climb a 6' bookcase and from there, to a shelf mounted just below the ceiling.
We still don't know how she got there.
