Gratuitous self-torture, caught on video

I've never understood the fad for so-called "Brazilian waxing". It seems to me to go against what Nature intends, and for no good reason that I can see.

Be that as it may, a lot of people have it done . . . and it seems that one salon installed a video camera to catch the expressions on their faces. Don't worry, there are no naughty bits in frame: but the expressions (and exclamations) are priceless.

Without further ado, Bayou Renaissance Productions presents "Waxing Enthusiastic".

And I still don't understand why anyone would put themselves through that!

They've been brainwashed by the beauty/fashion industry to believe that their natural condition is not pretty. Therefore, they pay outrageous sums to alter that condition. The amounts spent to alter and then maintain this new look are in the 10's of millions of dollars per year.
The entire beauty industry is a multi-BILLION dollar per year business.
Oh, and you'll notice, all those women were under 40 and most were under 30. That's another factor...it's easier to prey on the insecurities of the younger women.

Maybe it is less hassle than shaving? Momentary discomfort vs. razor burn and ingrown hairs? It pales in comparison to some other fruity things going on on the beauty business.

By the expression on his face, not any more...
