Some very creative photography

An English charity called 'Fresh20' is trying "to enable the provision of clean water for drinking and sanitation purposes globally". That's a very laudable objective. I can testify from personal experience how dirty and unsanitary many Third World water supplies are . . . and they take a horrifying toll every year in disease.

A photographer, Candice, has come up with a very interesting idea: to photograph celebrities (so far all female, and models or actresses) underwater, to give a unique twist to how they usually look, and at the same time promote the charity's clean water initiative. Here are a few of her photographs. (Click to enlarge - they're worth it.)

Angel

Keira Knightley

Kelly Brook

Lily Cole (isn't her hair spectacular under water?)

Sophie Anderton

There are lots more photographs at the charity's Gallery. Worth stopping by, if you like photography and have time to spare. Candice has done some really interesting work here.

Oh - and please, while you're visiting, consider a donation to the charity, would you? As I said, I know from first-hand experience how very great is the need for fresh water in the Third World. If this charity can help provide so precious a resource, more power to them - but they'll need your help, and mine, to do it.
