The video clip below shows crosswind landings and takeoffs at Düsseldorf airport in Germany earlier this year. The pilots generally do a pretty good job of dealing with the very tricky conditions, except for a Turkish Airlines Boeing 737 (see from 4m. 03sec.) which doesn't get its upwind wing low enough, and appears to have a hairy moment or two.
I'm glad I didn't have to land or take off there that day!

There is a cross landing strip!
This is just an unnecessary risk...
And *that* folks, is why they make the big bucks!
