If you go to the US Debt Clock Web site, that screen's updated in real time. It gives a scary picture of just how fast we're being dragged over the debt precipice, both nationally and as individuals. If Obamacare is enacted, look for the rate of acceleration of debt to increase astronomically!
It's worth keeping that link handy, and going back there to refresh your memory now and again. It should encourage you to practice personal economy like nothing else will!
