Who needs machines, anyway?
When you have to salt the roads, and the salt hopper's broken . . . in Russia, they find another way!
They're actually spreading grit it looks like--it gets cold enough up there salt doesn't work well, and snows/ices often enough that salt would destroy the soil if they applied it that often.
Can you imagine anyone in Chicago doing this? Or New York? Talking about government (union) employees only, of course. If the spreader don't work, it ain't gettin' spread.
At least he didn't throw salt (or grit, or sand, or whatever it is) on the girl (at the 0:09 sec mark). Just for a moment, I thought he might. So did she, judging from her reaction.
VW: flows --No, it doesn't. That's why he spreading it by hands. Silly blogger.
