An impressive world record


A very large group of Australians has just broken the world water-skiing record, towing no less than 145 skiers behind one vessel for a distance of one nautical mile. (They started with 154, but 9 fell off during the tow!) Here's an Australian news report about their achievement.







That looks to have been all sorts of fun! Congratulations to all concerned. (Also, for the benefit of Northern Hemisphere readers who may have forgotten, it's high summer down there right now, so the water's a whole lot warmer than it is off the coast of the USA in February!)

Don't forget that that temp is in Celsius. 37 deg Celsius = 98.6 deg Fahrenheit.

BTW that was the coolest day in a 10 day stretch of bl**dy awful weather
