Stunt driver Ken Block does it again! In the third of his ongoing Gymkhana series, he takes a very hot-rodded Ford Fiesta around a series of obstacles at France's l'Autodrome de Linas-Montlhéry.
I'd love to see Ford make that hotted-up Fiesta available here . . . but somehow I think every cop in the US would have kittens, simultaneously, at the thought!

Wow, that looked like fun. While I was watching the video I was also thinking: "I wonder how many sets of tires he went through practicing that routine?". Then the end came and I got my answer - every single time.
As far as the US cops go, I think half of them would love to *have* one of those cars. It would make a fine interceptor kitted out with all the extras but with the standard Ford Fiesta livery. Patrolling the urban interstates, unmarked, I'm sure they could collect more than their share of traffic violators who would think nothing of blowing by a Fiesta at ten or more over.
Ford did that from 1984 to 1988. The car was called the Merkur/ Scorpio and was an amalgum of British, German and American parts. Fun tubocharged little beast it was/is.
For a while they sold that version here in Australia, under the name of XR5. But now all we have is the F6: http://www.fpv.com.au/fpv-range/f6/overview.aspx
(not that I'm complaining or anything...)
;)
Remind me to never ever go in a car with him after a good meal.

That rev limiter sure got a work out! I swear he leaned on it in every single gear and corner!
And I'd love to know how many sets of tires he went through... And how many engines! Just askin...
Oh my, it is fun when someone else is paying for tires.
