Last post on a late night

I'm a tired puppy. Took Miss D. to meet an old friend of hers who drives an 18-wheeler all over the USA. We met him at a truck stop about 30 miles away, and ate dinner there. I've got to say, some of the best diners I've eaten at have been in truck stops. Truckers obviously demand good food, and make sure they get it.

I'm weary now, and not feeling up to my usual two or three late-night articles. I'll put up some more tomorrow morning. To keep you occupied until then, have you ever heard of Sepak Takraw? Wikipedia describes it thusly:

Sepak Takraw, or kick volleyball, is a sport native to the Malay-Thai Peninsula. Sepak takraw differs from the similar sport of volleyball in its use of a rattan ball and only allowing players to use their feet, knee, chest and head to touch the ball. It is a popular sport in Southeast Asia.

There's more at the link.

I recently came across this video clip of the Vigo Cup competition from 2011. Looks like the sport is pretty darn athletic, to put it mildly!

I'd like to see some of those players try Western-style beach volleyball. With basic athleticism like that, I think they'd wipe the floor with their opponents!
