Beer bottles as musical instruments

They make for an interesting sound - and provide useful exercise to the musicians!

Here's "Flight of the Bumblebee" by Rimsky-Korsakov:

and a Hungarian folk tune or "Czardas", composer unknown (I know Vittorio Monti composed a piece with that title, but this doesn't sound like it):

I guess the bottles' musical usefulness provides another good excuse for students to go out and buy more beer!

While the Flight of the Bumblebee setup is impressive, I prefer this arrangement of the Victoria Bitter theme, performed on/with bottles by members of the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pUru7nSyKxQ

That's their story, and they're sticking to it.
