A happy and blessed Thanksgiving to all my readers

I hope we all have much for which to be thankful this year, and celebrate accordingly, despite the gloomy times in which we live.

To mark the occasion, here's how Sequential Art, a British cartoon strip, sees our American holiday this year. (Click the image for a larger view.)

Am I the only one who found that cartoon a bit offensive?

The holiday known as Thanksgiving Day was initiated by Abraham Lincoln in the 1860's, not by a bunch of 17th century, puritanical "witch burning", sociopathic colonials. (Who, at the time, were still Englishmen, by the way.)

Oh well. Maybe I'm the one who should just lighten up.

Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours, Peter.

I have read all of that series. I did not realize the comic was British and took place there. Oops
