The ATF scandal: the video news report

Following up on my report last night about the latest developments in the ATF scandal, here's the CBS video news report that's blown the lid off the mess.

My sincere thanks and congratulations to Agent Dodson for his courage and responsibility in going public with this story. If it weren't for him, I'm sure the ATF big-wigs behind this criminal fiasco would still be covering their tracks. Now they've been exposed, we can make them answer for their crimes.

Surprisingly, Fox News hadn't given this issue much attention until this morning, when Judge Andrew Napolitano was interviewed about it. It's about time.

You can thank Mike Vanderboegh and David Codrea for breaking this initially, as well as for pointing Senator Grassley and CBS to the whistleblowers. It is too bad that these bloggers won't get any of the credit that they so richly deserve.

Ditto to what Newbius wrote. David Codrea and Mike Vanderboegh have been all over this for months.

Newbius, YoelB: Indeed I do thank them. I linked to their work in my first article on the subject, a couple of months ago, and I've cited their updates since then. To them goes the credit of 'breaking the story', along with Agent Dodson and his as-yet-unnamed colleagues, and Senator Grassley, for getting the case moving.

You're right, this one has been 'under the radar' way too long...

Seeing how badly torn up Dodson is over this got me all choked up too. *sigh*

Won't happen. This will go away, and the whistle blower will be lucky if he doesn't "disappear"... at the very least, his job will be made very uncomfortable and his chances for promotion nil.
