Love him or hate him, Glenn Beck gets this one right!

I'm not a fan of Glenn Beck, for a number of reasons: but I have to admit that he's done an absolutely magnificent job of describing our current economic crisis in terms that anyone can understand. Last night he put things into just the right perspective.

Someone's uploaded the program to YouTube (at least until Fox tells them to take it down). It's in five parts, of which the first three are the most important. Here they are, in sequence. Friends, please, please take the time to watch these video clips. They really are important, and will show you the seriousness of our economic malaise better than almost anything else. When you've watched them, please forward the link to your friends, and ask them to watch them as well. These deserve the widest possible circulation.

The final two parts of the program are also interesting. If you'd like to watch them, for the sake of completeness, they're here (Part 4) and here (Part 5).

Now, how the hell do we persuade every Congressional representative, and every Senator, to watch them as well? And how can we make them understand that what Glenn Beck is saying is the exact and literal truth of our situation, and unless our politicians get this and change course, we're up the creek without the proverbial paddle?

Peter, everyone needs to see this. I'm not sure of what is at the bottom of the drain, but the circles are getting smaller, and historical precedent doesn't look good at all.

They have no interest in changing for the better- I am now convinced they WANT to collapse the system and this is a calculated, deliberate attempt to destroy the USA, as we know it, and replace it with a different system.

Peter,
I share your opinion of Beck and this particular show. He's a bit of a clown, but he's very insightful and probably far more intelligent than he gets credit for.

How do we get their attention? Simple: the ballot box, for now...

Maybe Sarah Palin will provide the mass of energy needed to get the generally conservative populace off their couches and into the polling places.

I never thought I'd see the day where Beck did a serious piece and did it well.
