Some great underwater images
The Rosenstiel School of Marine and Atmospheric Science at the University of Miami in Florida holds an annual underwater photography contest. The 2011 winners have just been announced.
Here are a few of my favorites. Tobias Friedrich of Germany won the Best Overall award with this picture titled "Two Gobies ( Bryaninops natans)" taken near MarsaAlam, Egypt.
Erika Antoniazzo of Malaysia took 3rd place in the Macro section with this picture of a Nudibranchand mantis shrimp, taken near Seraya Beach, Bali, Indonesia.
Jackie Campbell of Ireland took 3rd place in the Wide-angle section with this picture of Barracuda in the Sudanese Red Sea.
There are many more photographs at the link, along with winners of previous competitions. Recommended viewing.

These are beautiful photos. I sent this link to my grandchildren, who live at their local Aquarium.
